Peralatan-peralatan dan suku cadang yang menunjang jalannya proses produksi membutuhkan penanganan tersendiri baik dalam hal pengadaan, perawatan dan keamanan. Departemen yang biasanya menangani pekerjaan tersebut adalah bagian logistik yang mendukung dalam hal pengadaan barang bagi seluruh keperluan pemeliharaan peralatan yang digunakan dalam proses produksi. Pengendalian peralatan dan suku cadang sangat penting dalam hal penentuan keputusan suatu barang membutuhkan manajemen yang baik apakah alat tersebut diperlukan atau tidak, dengan siapa pembelian dilakukan, kapan dilakukan pemesanan, berapa jumlah yang dipesan, tingkat dan jaminan mutu suku cadang yang diperlukan, anggaran suku cadang, dan lain-lain.

More and more industries in this country are going in for ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification to demonstrate their seriousness and commitment towards environmental protection and prevention of pollution.
With the advent of sustainable development and the change in consumer attitudes towards environmental issues, industry in general needs to provide the services and products demanded by consumers with a minimal environmental impact at all stages of production.
